Many private schools have at least SOME religious aspect in my experience. Two of the highest rated private schools in our state both have mandatory chapel and the school my kids attended required them to take a course in religious studies.
The curriculum at both schools was pretty standard but did have a slight religious touch. No one in my extended clan found it offensive, even though the religion was protestant and we are catholic. We all went our kids to private HSs except for one sister/BIL. Some of my niblings started with private K and went all the way through SR year, but we had our kids remain in public until HS.
