Traditionally a Boglehead portfolio does not contain gold or commodities. Right now gold and commodities are doing well due to market dynamics. One thing I remembered when learning investing is not to chase the hot industry sectors. What ever hot things I chased inevitable reached the peak value when I have purchased them, and started falling afterwards.
