There seems to be a lot of talk about bubble and how to avoid it, but what would you do after the fall? Ideally you should follow your plan, not reacting to the market crash and then rebalance (if you can). What if you fail your resolve and then sell out on the way down? What would you do afterwards?
I prefer to do the "ideal" thing and so far that's what I have done in 2008, 2011, 2018, 2020, and 2022. Hopefully I'll be able to continue to do it in future bear markets.

Set your AA for your risk tolerance in the depths of a nasty bear market, not your risk tolerance after 3 year of stupendous US large cap growth returns. Then stay the course.

I do remember some discussion of "Plan B" on this forum in the middle of one of these nasty bear markets. I thought those folks were off their rockers, but you can read the threads yourself. Let me see if I can find one:
