Yeah, the quoted rates and my actual rates (off of healthcare.gov) are somewhat different. I mainly use it to estimate the tax credit. The tax credit it cited me was the same as healthcare.gov. I wanted to see what the difference would be for different income level scenarios for things I could do. Not so easy to do at the healthcare.gov site.I plugged in two states (and corresponding zip codes) where I know the rates for next year and they are incorrect.
Honestly the most interesting thing about that tool to me is plugging in random zips and seeing just how much healthcare costs vary by region. And that I apparently live in a penthouse on the moon.
