There has been more than one unfortunate situation with "new residential cruise ships" recently (past few years).I assume you have watched some videologs on YouTube from those who are on Villa Vie? I have seen several. Just note that it is an old ship.I recently learned about Villa Vie Residence Cruising where you can rent a cabin (more like a small apartment it seems) for a month or a year or multiple years - or even own one....the advantage there is they usually spend a couple or more days in port - rather than they typical shop and drop. I've noticed people can rent based on what part of the world they want to explore...interesting.
Going on a lengthy or even "round the world" cruise with an established cruise line would be more prudent, and probably provide a better experience... at least until/unless some new residential line/ship has been established and had several successful cruises.
There are many to choose from.
ENJOY!
