Personal Finance (Not Investing) • How to zero out Vanguard account without closing it?

Not for me. I still have lots of mutual fund accounts (before we were urged to make brokerage accounts). I can't even delete them myself since the account numbers have been wiped out but I see the account titling for each.

There are also a lot of users who do the Backdoor Roth. After they convert their tIRA contributions to Roth, the account stays there and they can use the same tIRA account the following year.
They auto close $0 brokerage accounts (IRA and taxable). I'm not sure after how long. Over a year. Probably over 2.
I have a $0 taxable brokerage account in Vanguard for many years. It's still open.
