Total stock market funds are primarily large cap funds, because the overall capitalization of the market is dominated by the largest companies. If you have a market cap weighting strategy, then a total market fund is what works for that.
They proposed a managed account with them for 0.79% of assets under management (AUM).
Nope. Even if you wanted to increase your small/mid allocations for some reason other than "the person on the phone told me to", it's not like you need to pay them that kind of money to do it.

At least now you know not to call when you already know what you want to do. It's like an invite for a sales pitch.

Only call when you actually need help with something, just for help with that thing.
Unfortunately, my status as a novice often puts me in a defensive position, leading to moments of self-doubt. However, I am optimistic that as I continue to learn, I'll become better equipped to avoid falling into these obvious traps.
