Investing - Theory, News & General • Google AI agrees: "Roth" not "ROTH"

One of my minor pet peeves here is the frequency with which people refer to "ROTH IRA" rather than "Roth IRA". I just did a Google search on "why do people say ROTH not Roth", not expecting anything much, and got an AI Overview as follows:
People often say "ROTH" as an acronym rather than pronouncing "Roth" as a proper name because they mistakenly believe the name refers to the account's features (e.g., Retirement Options Tax Healthy), when it is actually named after its legislative sponsor, Senator William Roth.
For once, AI gets it right. 8-)

I once suggested that "ROTH" really means "Retirement Of Tax Haters."
