I was also in an almost identical situation, filed ssa-44 and was approved. I have read these decisions can be capricious, why don’t you can appeal the decision?I’m in almost identical situation, written appeal unsuccessful. I am accepting - with some pain- that for 2 years wife and I going to get slammed. I did not realize that there is IRMAA on drug plan as well.
