A few less obvious things that were hits with my preteen, if you’re looking for different ideas:
- Horseback riding in Hyde Park (there are a couple of academies that accommodate a wide range of abilities including beginner).
- Greenwich and the prime meridian- great views, friendly docents, interesting small museum. We took the ferry there and had lunch beforehand too.
- Short photo session (booked off airbnb experiences) for some nice shots where you are in the photo too— these are great for holiday cards and kiddo hammed it up.
- Sky Garden in the walkie talkie building
- Sketching/drawing class at the Natural History museum (ours was offered on classbento)
Paris
- Fondation Louis Vuitton art museum (Gehry designed building) - amazing angles and viewpoints and the water feature outside is so calming. The tour is wonderful but if you’re over on that side of town it’s worth a look even if you don’t have much time.
