Does having a DB pension make ROTH conversions more attractive?
There's nothing special about a "DB pension" when it comes to RMDs vs Roth conversions.

Any kind of income that is taxable in the same year as your RMDs will raise your taxes (compared to only having the "income" or only the RMDs).

Of course, you should consider spreading out your future tax hit by doing some Roth conversions now vs waiting and having larger taxes later.
Exactly - which is also why those folks with DB pensions that start paying immediately after the person stops the primary job need to plan out both their deferrals and any hoped for future conversions early on and carefully.
