Preparing to move crosscountry in a few months from VHCOL to MCOL. Plan is to move first into a rental with my stuff in storage. Then old home is staged and sold. Gives me the convenience of time to make a good decision on next residence and the ability to buy with cash without dipping into my living expense money. But bittersweet as I love this home and community and could never afford to buy in again.
Last time we got a bridge loan but we were lucky buying in a down market and able to make an offer after flying out for a week.
