Personal Finance (Not Investing) • For those who use TurboTax to plan year end moves - how do you use it?

I used TurboTax in the past but have switched to a CPA the last two years as our finances have gotten more complex. However, I've seen that bogleheads will use TT to estimate taxes and plan any year end moves.

I decided to try this approach and bought TT (desktop version) today. Most of the functions are not working: "This section will be ready soon. This section is unavailable while we work on updates for recent tax law changes."
Turbotax has many Federal and State forms, and their tax-forms-availability page indicates when they will be available.
Paper and E-file dates for a form can be different. Some forms are available now, some are unsupported,
some on 2026-01-06, on 2026-01-15, on 2026-02-19, on 2026-02-26, or on 2026-03-11 ( Form 3468 ).

If your tax return is sufficiently complicated, then you may not get an exact actionable return for another month.
In the event that tax laws change again, availability dates may change.
