Personal Consumer Issues • Mesh type router recommendation...

I have a mesh system now about 5 years old Netgear MR80.
Lately when the power blips I lose connection from either all or just some of my devices. Chatgpt had me reboot and then go to the dhcp and reapply that and it seems to bring everything back online after a bit. It also recommends 5 years as a long life and should be looking into a new setup.
I kind of like Netgear but their user interface is kind of slow and frustrating at times. What are you guys using.
The house is about 2500 sq ft and the garage 100 feet away with somethings connected up there so I have a satellite that far out.
I had a Netgear Orbi for a few years, which worked fine - but did have some quirks. For instance, when the system started up after turning it on (or after a power outage), it would seem to be fine for a few minutes before becoming unresponsive for a while and then being fine again. They stopped providing security updates, so on black friday this year I bought an Asus BD4. This has a much nicer user interface, more functionality (you can set up multiple isolated networks, such as one dedicated just to IoT devices that you don't want on your regular network), supports wifi 6, has great coverage across 3 stories (including basement) of a large house, and has proven to be pretty stable and reliable so far.

To minimize disruptions from power outages, I installed a UPS a few years back. The main mesh node as well as the network switch and other network devices I want on all the time are all plugged into it. This helped a lot with power blips. UPSs are not that expensive, although you do have to replace the batteries every few years.
