You might want to check with a lawyer regarding the best way to meet property disclosure requirements for a sale.
Is your father only required to disclose what he knows? If so, might looking for issues needlessly open a big can of worms if something is found?
Or, is he required to also disclose what he should have known? If so, how thorough of a survey is needed? Namely, if something is missed does that open your father up to litigation down the road?
