There was a prior post that said TurboTax will go on sale starting some time in the middle of January with $18 off off Premier version. So the math would be different.Costco Premier would be $82.99 with a $10 credit (so $82.99 + tax -$10).Will the Costco deal on TurboTax, which includes the $10 product credit, end up pretty close to the same as using the Fidelity deal plus the Chase 30% benefit? I did the math and it seems like it is, but I was looking to validate that. This is for the Premier version. Thank you.
I'm also waiting to see if the Amazon deal appears in January as it did last year.
Website version would be $105*.7= $73.50+tax, and then depending on what Chase or Amex deal you have that's your discount. So it's definitely cheaper to stack Fidelity + Chase/Amex.
I'd also question what you need the Premier version for. Desktop Deluxe and Premier have the exact same set of forms, though Premier does have more handholding in a few cases. This is not true of the online Deluxe versus Premier.
I've been using the desktop version of Premier as long as I can remember. I always thought it handles investment transactions more thoroughly in the interview questions. I also thought if you file schedule C for self employment income, Premier is better
