$200 for a 3800 sqft house is pretty good. We pay $145 for a 1500 sqft house every 2 weeks. 2-3 people come for no more than 90 minutes.
What they do is essentially what you describe:
Vacuum, mop, dust, wipe down surfaces, change sheets. Our cleaners will usually do something extra for us if we ask, so we try to ask for 1 extra a visit. Sometimes is wipe down all the base boards and chair rails. Sometimes it's open all the windows and wipe down sashes. Sometimes it's take everything out of the fridge and wipe down everything in there. Sometimes its raise all the blinds and windex all the windows.
We use a company.
Is it worth it? Well, with 2 little kids it just keeps things from getting out of control. And, most importantly, it helps keep me and my wife from getting into fights/arguments about who should be doing what.
