We have had several Odyssey's. The design changes infrequently, the V6 is definitely powerful, it drives like a sedan in terms of smoothness, and the mileage has always been at or above 25 mpg for combined city/interstate driving. The sliding doors are great for tight parking, letting people and our dog in and out easily, and the storage is very adequate. Convenience over "impression" at our retired ages (and before).
We have always kept them for about 4-5 years since we like to sell before 75,000 miles (Yes, we know that is not necessary), and have always had at least two, as many as four, unsolicited comments by both known and unknown parties wanting to purchase when we buy again. We have recently moved and a painter and a person recently met, along with another family member have made the request to purchase. The fact that we have sold at a higher price to compensate for lower sales tax when you trade-in versus make a non-trade purchase has not been a problem.
