You've been a member of this forum for over a decade, so you must realize by now that this forum is populated with optimizers :D

All joking aside, my point is that there exists SOME risk free rate above which we would not pay off the mortgage. That rate might be lower for me, the "extreme optimizer" than it is for you. But if the risk free rate were high enough, even you couldn't ignore that.
Yeah, we have some big optimizers on here. I'm personally trying to be less of an optimizer, more of a satisficer, especially after reading this article - https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog ... maximizing
