Do you guys have any tips for transferring a Roth IRA from Fidelity to Merrill Edge and getting the bonus offer? I'm particularly interested if I'll be able to transfer my 2 holdings of FXAIX and FTIHX in-kind from Fidelity to Merrill Edge?

As a data point for others, here's what order I did things in and the relevant timeline. I transferred a bit over $250k of Roth IRA assets from Fidelity to Merrill, and some cash in a normal checking account. I had no previous accounts at BofA or Merrill.

Tue, Aug 26: Submitted a securities transfer request on Merrill's site, to transfer from Fidelity to Merrill. I transfered some ETF shares, and some Fidelity mutual fund shares (FTIHX), to see if that would work. Merrill's transfer status thing said it expected the transfer to complete by 09/03/2025. I turned off the lockdown "Money Transfer Lock" thing on the Fidelity account.

In the Merrill account, the mutual fund shares have showed up, but the cost basis for everything isn't there yet. The transfer status shows as "completed".

Transferring FTIHX worked fine, but I cannot buy any more shares of it; not surprising. I can sell the shares I have, of course.
