Is the BofA anomoly mentioned above strictly due to something unique to BofA? I don't particularly mind having to unlock. I use my ATM card only 2-3 times a year anyway.A debit card is added to Apple Pay cannot be used if it is locked. I have first hand experience of this with both Fidelity and Schwab debit cards, and in both cases I had to unlock my card before I could use it on my iPhone.
I had heard that Apple Pay works even if card is lock but haven't tried that yet. Good to know.
