I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems logging into Vanguard recently. My wife tried to login back in early December, didn't work despite us re-entering the correct username and password a couple times. She called Vanguard, and they eventually reset the password, and she verified it worked by logging out and back in to complete some transactions.
Fast forward to today and the login doesn't work again. Same exact thing. We were very careful to write down the username and password correctly, but its as if their system forgets what her password is or something. We get a message saying invalid password or username, not one that says her acct is locked (which I would expect if someone was trying too many times to hack into the acct).
I can get into Vanguard via my acct on the same browser with no problems. There doesn't seem to be any unusual activity, etc, in either hers or my acct. We did have an issue back in about November wherein they started to send us monthly statements via snail mail, despite us being on electronic delivery only. At least she was able to get them to stop doing that, but the rep had no idea what we suddenly started to get paper statements without requesting them.
Its getting very tiresome for her having to call them, when she has a very erratic work schedule and oftentimes after she gets home from a long day she isn't in the mood for dealing with their stupidity. I can't do anything to help because even though I am authorized access and there are some joint sub-accounts in her acct, no dice. The reps won't even talk with me, other than to scold me that I shouldn't be using her acct despite her telling them right on the phone that she authorizes it. Bleh.
I told her to have the username changed as well as the password reset AGAIN, and if it persists, maybe its time to move our accounts (7-digits worth) to Fidelity so we don't have to deal with this crap anymore.![:(]( "Sad")
