I'm wondering too whether Quicken is eliminating all retail versions except new subscriber, which will then force renewals thru the Quicken software (at full price).
I have always renewed my Quicken Classic using codes purchased online, typically for about half the official cost. It appears that Quicken is flushing the old SKUs out of the retail channel, leaving only "New Subscriber Only" SKUs that don't work for renewing an existing subscription.
Sometimes I think paying for it on a monthly basis would be easier, even if more expensive.
I just renewed (thru Best Buy) and so have about 18 months left
