Such is the case with much of life, unfortunately. Some 60% of all smartphone users in the U.S. use Apple iPhones... and we all know some of the realities surrounding the labor force Apple utilizes in Asia and how those workers are treated there. Yet over 100 million people in this country decide that the iPhone is for them and thus the phone they want to buy. And it's probably true as well that the story is similar with many of the Android options.
A way to tell us that you don’t know anyone who works at Amazon without telling us. They will never be confused with Trader Joe’s when it comes to treatment of employees. Just saying.
ETA: as I said, I still use them, but it’s not my proudest moment.
Broadly speaking, Americans writ large have a tendency to just want the sausage, without pulling back the curtain and seeing how the sausage is made. Not a judgment, just to note that it's a relatively common thread amongst advanced/capitalist societies, and the U.S. in particular.
