Same. For some reason, the ones I made did not work, but the ones I bought did. I have replaced the cardboard several times.The Cat Dancer! It’s a piece of wire with some cardboard on the end. It has been a favorite of every cat I’ve owed.
You can make your own. That’s no good; I don’t know why. You can refresh a Cat Dancer that has had the cardboard pulled and chewed off by adding pieces of cardboard or tightly rolled strips from a paper bag to the original wire. That too is stupid - why would anyone play with that? Clueless human.
Apparently I just don’t get it. But it’s one of the cheapest toys available for purchase, so we periodically buy new ones. We just bought a 3 pack and the cats went wild. They couldn’t wait for me to unroll the wire, they were trying to pull it out of my hands. The other two, still rolled up, have been found around the house; Franny was awkwardly trying to carry one upstairs.
Best toy ever and I have no idea why.
