Personal Finance (Not Investing) • What's the best way to have federal taxes withheld so I don't have to pay the dreaded estimated taxes?

...but they have "Federal Income Tax Withheld" in bold on their 1099-INT and Vanguard also has this on their 1099-DIV. I'd prefer to have Vanguard and AMEX withhold for their own interest and dividends.
I'm totally with you on this one. Why is there a field on the 1099, bolded no less, if no financial institution will ever populate it via withholding? Is there anyone anywhere that somehow can get taxes withheld from interest/dividend distributions?
Yes, don't report your dividends and interest on your return.
