Personal Finance (Not Investing) • We want to retire?

11k*12 = 132k annual needed.

Let us subtract 50k pension so additional income needed is 132-50k = 80k.

80k * 25 = 2M portfolio is needed. You are already there.

Let us say you retire at ages 57 and 51. After 11 years spouse social security starts which brings in another 20k. This will reduce the need to withdraw and then 1 year later you get 56k from social security.

Total 56k + 50k pension + 20k = 118k.'

Looks pretty good to me. I would increase the emergency fund of 25k and contribute to Roth IRA.

Congrats

You are close but I’d leave the option open to hang on for a few extra years to reduce the gap until you get SS and boost pension some.
