Personal Consumer Issues • Which Travelpro luggage?

This is an older thread, but since it was bumped, I recently bought the Platinum Elite 21" rollaboard, and while it's a solid bag, it’s also a prime example of how companies are constantly looking to cut corners and reduce costs and build quality. There’s just a lot of odd or inferior things compared to my 10-year old Crew8 which sadly died (and cost < 1/2 what the Platinum Elite sells for) that are disappointing. The bag overall feels less sturdy. It is less solid on public transportation - its slides around if not angled perfectly to fight inertia, so I constantly have to have a hand on it. The suiter insert feels very cheap and flimsy. The tie-down straps inside the suitcase are smaller and feel cheaper. The telescoping handle is solid compared to cheaper bags, but again, definitely thinner and cheaper than the previous bag. And that's without mentioning a couple other features which I find strange or less practical than the older bag.
I'm confused. My Platinum Elite 21" did not come with a suiter. Nor can I comprehend how one would fit in an international-sized carryon. Maybe if you're ok with folding your suit three times lengthwise, and then ALSO three times width-wise? I have personally not seen a suiter that folds down into a 14x8" (or smaller) dimension.

This is particularly fresh for me, as I had to check a bag just 2 months ago in order to bring a suit on a trip where I have used the 21" carryon literally dozens of times for this exact same trip where a suit was not required.
Perhaps I erred in naming the bag. It is a 22", the main Platinum Elite Rollaboard that Travelpro currently sells. And it comes with a suiter.
