Perhaps I don't understand mesh routers properly, but one of the things that has kept me from getting them is none (or at least not the popular ones) seem to have multiple ethernet ports (out). While I'm all for setting up a mesh network and hoping that solves coverage issues, I still want to have the reliable backup of ethernet connections (particularly for docking stations that are used to WFH). Although I suppose I could connect a mesh router to my current router, still use the latter router's additional ethernet ports, and have the mesh system run in parallel?
