Personal Investments • Die with Zero - opinions?

We don't know the exact amount but can estimate and have an ample safety net. Say a typical Boglehead at 60 has $5M, lives off of $100k/year, is still working, will collect $50k in social security. Is that more than enough to start gifting early? I think so
I don't think $5M is much of an outlier, but there are lots of "middle class" Bogleheads, the principles work for everyone, and gifting/giving is a big part of the value system throughout our lives. A lot of people here get focused on very specific calculations without getting the take away of living a generous enthusiastic life that *might* be the focus of the book?
