Personal Consumer Issues • What Movie Have You Recently Watched?

I recently watched "Perfect Days," which was nominated for something during the recent Academy Awards. I watched it in a community theater, and then again at home via Amazon Prime. This is in Japanese, with English subtitles, a great soundtrack, and just a lovely two hours of viewing. No violence, no hatred, little dialogue, but so much to think about during and after the viewing, that I am still deeply moved nearly a month after having seen it. It occurs to me that given our collective interest in being productive stewards of that which we are fortunate enough to be able to invest, this movie may serve as a "centering opportunity," reminding us of the possibility of seeking a simple but truly meaningful life amid the din and clatter which surrounds us.
Perfect Days, $5.99 rental on Amazon Prime. I agree. It's a movie that forces you to take a step back and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

The movie is also available on Apple TV+ for $5.99.
