I understand what you are trying to say, and I also don't agree with your general premise...but even if I did, it would only be true for a leasing agreement in which there was no upfront payment other than the payment for the first month...no down payment and all taxes/fees would need to be amortized over the lease term. Some lease agreements are like that, but most aren't and presumably would also be considered "dishonest" reflections of monthly cost?I have said this before and I’ll say it again. Leasing is the most honest way of owning a car. It forces you to confront the true cost of ownership every month.
