If I go into a bar, I like having spirit choices being the same as what I have at home.

That let's me tell the mixer ratios I want to the bartender based on personal experience with the product.
While one may certainly prefer the taste of Vodka or Whiskey A vs. brand B, it's not clear to me why the choice of one 40% ABV spirit of decent quality vs. another would significantly alter the mix ratios. For example, if I'm ordering an Old Fashioned, while the whiskey will vary based on my whims and what's on offer, the rest of the order remains the same: "Easy sugar, extra bitters". Likewise, I can't see wanting a margarita with more lime juice than normal because Tito's, but if it's Ketel then back off on the triple sec.

But maybe I'm underthinking it :beer
Example of differences:

A 40% ABV rye whiskey can be a legal minimum of 51% rye whiskey (Rittenhouse) on the mash bill, or up to a 95% rye whiskey (Bulleit rye) on the mash bill. Both are legally rye whiskeys, but they taste different.

As for your example above regarding a margarita and lime/triple sec ratio vs Tito's vs Ketel:

Huh?

Tito's and Ketel are vodkas, not tequilas?
