Investing - Theory, News & General • Low future us stock market returns

I absolutely think the US market is going to have an awful, humdinger of a crash that you really don't want to see the trigger for. I've seen a few of those already. That's part of investing in stocks, and I expect it. What's really awesome is the doom narrative that comes with it. For those who have not had the pleasure of meeting a wicked downtrend, it feels like throwing money into a cash incinerator, while you might lose your job at the same time.

The really interesting thing to me is there seems to be a significant demand for money and labor now, and not enough to go around. Guess what happens to yields in that scenario? Yields can move up from here. Supply chain shifts may keep inflation going. Bonds may not provide the safe, warm blanket that some investors think they bought. That's not what they ever did.

I'd talk about trend next but who knows? Sleep well! :P
