I’m glad you brought this up. I’m also an introvert, and that is why I prefer to stay in a hotel. No matter how much I love you, I need some “time away” too. And with a hotel, I have more control over that, and more control over how I spend my time. It’s hard to describe, I’m really not a control freak. And really not being shy r stand offish. But everybody is better off when that I stay in a hotel.Where would you prefer to stay?
If it's with your relatives, then stay with them for no longer than 3 days. Bring them a nice hostess gift and treat them to some meals out.
If it's a hotel, and you can afford a hotel, stay at the hotel.
Personally, I would not be offended if visiting relatives stayed at a hotel instead of my place. (But I'm somewhat of an introvert.)

I’ve only learned much later in life that I’ve offended a lot of people by doing this. I didn’t understand that many feel genuinely hurt when you decline to stay at their homes. And they had no idea that I do it, because I would so great,y appreciate others doing it when they visit me.
