I noticed a few weeks ago that the list of tax-exempt money market mutual funds listed on the ICCRateSheet file for MerrillEdge Cash Management Solutions had dropped several names. Today I got a trade notification and found that my entire position in MUNXX (a NY Muni MMF) had been sold without warning.
I chatted with a rep who could only give limited information amounting to: "That fund is undergoing some changes and is currently not available on our platform."
At least there were no tax consequences for an unannounced sale.
Anybody else have something like this happen to them?
Any suggestions for alternatives for state-specific money-market funds available on ME, or do I need to move this portion of my allocation to a different broker?
The only tax-exempt money market funds listed now are: MCSXX and FFTXX/FTFXX
