Personal Investments • Rebalancing Between Accounts

I achieve my target allocation across ALL accounts. I do not try to maintain that allocation in EACH account. Depending on your holdings, that may or may not mean you have to hold bonds in your taxable account. In my case, my entire Traditional IRA is bonds. My small Roth IRA is full of stock funds. My large taxable account is mostly stocks and stock funds, but also has some bonds in order to meet my asset allocation goals. I had no where else to put the bonds needed to meet my allocation goal.
