My worry was they asked me CVV/expiry details (which I felt wasn't required for refund) and could always sell this info to other parties outside.

I'm possibly paranoid at this point

If you see fraudulent charges, report them and they will be reversed by Visa. You will get a new card. Not worth worrying about. Especially given the very low odds that the CS Rep is writing them down to scam you.
