I see for the S&P SmallCap 600 over 96.5% of actively managed funds underperformed over 20 years.
That makes me feel even better about the Vanguard Tax Managed Small Cap Fund. It’s an index fund, but it’s actually beaten the index by a small margin (10.18% vs 10.12%) since its inception on 3/25/99. Those are some long odds, and shows how good Vanguard is at their job.
