I wasn't questioning that particular use of AI (your burn unit) but rather the entire universe to which AI could be deployed. I am still skeptical in many cases. What you describe is a very focused and limited use of the tech, however what is being touted is different story. My particular concerns would be surveillance, facial recognition, use in classrooms etc. And then of course, where is your AI when the power goes out?Well, that isn't the right question. The question is: How much "better" than an untrained (non burn) nurse?
Does it ever make mistakes? If not then that's great. However, if there is a potential for mistakes in any given field then IMO this tech should not be foisted on the public without being carefully tested.
It's OK if you think I'm a Luddite, I don't mind...
