Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Contemplating Creating a Lifestyle That Requires a Low AGI (~ $45k) to Maximize Subsidies/Tax Credits

Of course if someone already has a lot of money - and wants to mooch off the rest of us taxpayers rather than actually work for themselves - I suppose they could figure out how to do this and feel proud of themselves for mooching.
This is why some politicians want to start taxing people based upon wealth/savings versus just income.
Mooch? They worked and paid into the system as well.
Did they?
I don't believe government subsidies as part of the ACA were created to help the wealthy.
It's like some don't realize or care our government is running at a deficit and our national debt is at an all time high. "Me, me, me, me"
I guess I don't consider following the laws to be mooching. Heck, at 45K, they could get reduced cell phones, internet, free lunches and so much more ;)

Their mooching doesn't even register when it comes to the legalities of dodging taxes available to the REAL wealthy people and corporations.
The real wealthy people, top 1%, pay 45% of the federal taxes in this country. Most of them are not the moochers. It's those that don't want to be productive and would rather live off the rest of us.
ACA is great for those that simply aren't capable or struggle to find a job with a decent wage and decent insurance - that was the point of the program. It was never intended for the capable but lazy. Moochers will always find a way to mooch. I am sure they are going to food banks and so on - they don't all verify need.
