Personal Investments • Implications of rolling Individual 401k to Rollover IRA

Friends,
I rolled my individual 401k assets to rollover IRA. I had 5 to 6 stock mutual finds and couple of bond funds. Do I wait till year end for any final distributions to complete or I can file 5500-EZ now itself?

Give it a month to make sure you get any late dividends out, then you have 7 months in which to file your form 5500. You do not have to wait, though, and I would file it as soon as you are sure you've gotten every accrued penny out of the plan.

just curious, don't they distribute dividends in Dec? Do I need to wait to make sure some small money show up as dividend before filing 5500?
