I just saw in the thread above that Fidelity will be adding a Roth option by 2026--great to know. The Roth was one of the few things that was pushing me toward Schwab over Fidelity and I won't be using the Roth option for the next year or two anyway. I was curious about in-plan rollovers from the traditional i401k to the Roth i401k. Is that an important feature? Schwab offers it? Any sense of whether Fidelity eventually will?

I'm not well-versed in Roth conversion strategies but my situation is that my compensation is high for the next few years and will probably come down around retirement or early retirement age. I thought those might be good years for a conversion. Does it matter if the conversion is within my 401k or can I just do a conversion from the traditional i401k to a Roth IRA later?
