Investing - Theory, News & General • Allowing Allocation Drift in Withdrawal

Let's say you enter the withdrawal phase with a moderately conservative AA.

Is there a case to be made for then allowing allocation drift (not rebalancing) for the remainder of retirement?
Which asset are you withdrawing from? That affects the realized result.
Hmmm. I don't know. I was using PV in asset allocation mode, and I'm not sure how it determines where withdrawals are taken from. Maybe at the indicated allocation? So for 50/50, half the withdrawal from stocks and half from bonds?
For example, if you start at 50/50, and then withdraw from whichever asset is larger, you're effectively rebalancing anyway.
That's true.
