did you ask them to answer these questions/confusions you have? I believe you're entitled to a free consultation. If you don't have confidence you understand the answers to your questions, you don't have to change anything. Though even though you fear costs as a result of changing, there can be costs for not changing too.I am in this current position....

If not, you might want to edit/change the title of this post because people are probably reading your post wondering what questions you have about that item and how to help you with that, yet your post is about moving funds to vanguard, which doesn't have anything (in and of itself) to do with social security.
