In other words, when in doubt, anything between 75 equity & 25% bonds and 25% equity & 75% bonds is a good set of guardrails. Some might push that to 80/20, and for young investors with years ahead, may be reasonable.
But "if you don't know yourself yet", I'd caution against being more aggressive. Once you've been "punched in the face", you'll better know your real risk tolerance.
