They probably ARE on the CLUE report since they were reported.
I had a comprehensive auto claim the other day - $1k deductible, the repairs to my car is $6000. I got my auto renewal a few days later and the claim apparently had no impact on my premiums. We'll see if it has any effect on the subsequent renewal.
When I had an at-fault collision claim a decade ago, the increase in premium was far less over the (3?) years vs. what the insurance company paid out, though it was harder for me to shop around my insurance when I had that claim on record.
I wouldn't have filed a claim for $1.5k damage with a $1k deductible, but $3k I might have. It'd hard to believe that the premium punishment would be more than the $2k you wouldn't have to spend on the damage.
