I'm trying to figure out what the fees, separate from the fund expense ratio, are for leaving funds with Devenir.
The underlying Vanuguard fund at Devenir has an ER of .04%. I have about $17k there. No new contributions allowed.
My new HSA contributions are of course now going to Cigna's HSA Invest, where I have selected a Vanguard Fund with a .04% ER as well. Have under $1k there. Still with my current employer where the employer and employee contributions are going to Cigna's HSA Invest.
Would you recommend I close the Devenir account and transfer the $17k to Cigna's HSA Invest?
Or keep in Devenir?
Or open a Fidelity HSA?
Earlier post with some more background information below.
I'm currently enrolled with Devenir for my HSA and have selected Vanguard 500 as my investment option. I'm attempting to understand fees. Vanguard 500 Index Fund Admiral Shares (VFIAX) has a Total Annual Operating Expense of 0.04%. So $10,000 would result in an annual fee of $4. However, when I check my account activity for YTD, I am already seeing fees for the first three quarters totaling over $30. Let's assume for this exercise my balance is $10k. It in fact is about 50% higher. Fee is labeled SALE OF RECORD KEEPING FEE. Is this the Devenir mark-up
