Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Considerations when moving from CA to WA while retired

1) Medicare - we've been using a Kaiser MA plan, having been satisfied with Kaiser for many years in the bay area. I know that there is a Kaiser option in the Seattle area, but it's not a long-established there (they took over another group health plan a few years ago). Any feedback on MA options would be good (DW is past the 12 month MA trial period, and so may be locked into MA vs supplement plans because of underwriting).
My wife and I have had a Medicare Advantage plan through Kaiser Permanente of WA. It is through a WA state retiree benefits plan. We are South of Seattle and in general the care with Kaiser has been good. However, all the major health systems in the Puget Sound region have been running into staffing problems. They have a hard time attracting and keeping staff, both physician and non-physician. My wife has been waiting for a surgery appointment for a total knee replacement for 9 months. Communication is terrible. OTOH, when my 90 year old mother fell and broke her wrist she received excellent care through Kaiser. My own care has been fine.
