Why would it be discouraging? It seems to me that buying fewer funds would be easier and simpler.Thank you everyone for replying
It is a little discouraging that I don't need to hold that many stocks.
For the past month, I've been trying to learn by reading "Investing 101: A crase course in building personal wealth" by Michele Cagan and listening to YT videos talking about diversifying my portfolio. I chose all US stocks, because I did not want to invest in any international stocks because the the returns weren't great (to my knowledge).
And if I want to reallocate my stocks I would have to sell every stock? Can I reinvest in the same stocks in my brokerage?
I don't think there's any strong need to sell the funds you already own. You could just simplify what you buy from now on.
